Yarn Con is coming this weekend and I needed something new to sport to the event. Not too big, not too small; not too hot and not too cold. An infinity scarf sounded great and I always wanted one. Here it is blocking. Don't you love the colors?
Look at the length! 59"!
I will be taking an entrelac class finally so I can make an infinity scarf that has entrelac. We cannot forget shopping either. I cannot wait. Yarn Con is the best way to round up my spring break!!!!
The yarn is Miss Babs Yowza What a Skein. This was score #1. Score #2 is of a spinning nature:
A vintage skein winder! I got it an estate sale for, was it for it...$26! I was so excited. Now, I am off to finish spinning some fiber. I also have some socks for the hubby on the needles and some stuff in the hopper too. Stay tuned!
Hello! Wow, summer is gone, school is back in, and I think my knitting mojo is back. I have made gifts for two baby showers in one month and moved to another town ALL IN THE SAME MONTH!!! But, I have survived. Would you like to see the projects? Of course:
Here is the Watermelon Sweater by Alana Dakos. This is the second one that I have made. Time and experience changes everything.
This is a cute little hat that was a free pattern on Ravelry.
I am also presently working on the Abalone sweater it will take time, but I will post progress pics soon.
While waiting for my projects to be judged at the county fair, I decided to knit a hat for the winter. I loved the Welted Hat pattern from Knit Simple Fall 2013 and I had some handspun lying around. So, here it is:
It fits my hair and is WARM! The yarns are BFL and Corridale, and I made it down to about 10-20 yards left! See:
Whew! Just made it! Now to wait until tomorrow for the fair results! I will let you know what happens!
