Yarn Con Review

Okay, I KNOW this is late.  But, I went to Yarn Con in April, and it was wonderful.  I took a class on cables with Allyson Dykhuizen of Vintage-Inspired Baseball Knits fame.  She was so sweet.  I also did some stash enhancements!  Lookie and enjoy!

Finally, I was one of the first through the door, and I scored a phat goodie bag!  Shear excitement!  

My next fest you ask?  Midwest Fiber and Folk Art in June!  Can't wait!

Okay, here's the yarn! So pretty. This roving is from Huckleberry Knits on Etsy. I have been having a bit of trouble drafting. I think it is me! I cannot wait to finish. 3 more nests to go, a nights rest and then I will ply it!

Spring break spinning!

Hello! It's spring break and I an pre-drafting some beautiful bfl/silk. I will start spinning it today when I get back from a yarn field trip. I am heading out to Sheep's Clothing in Valpo. It should be fun, and I will post picks tonight. It is such a cute shop. Yeah!

Oh, I almost forgot! I am also making lotion bars now. Shea and cocoa butter and they smell HEAVENLY!

I MUST finish this hat by Tuesday! It is an anniversary gift for my husband. 13 years! What a blessing he has been to me! Wish me luck!

Snow Day!

School was closed today! We actually got some snow here ...... finally! No knitting though! I was too busy entertaining my kids! Oh well, we will jump on the yarn wagon again soon!
